Biography
Charles-Isaac Denys graduated from the Conservatorio di Musica Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied under Michela Sburlati, his principal teacher throughout his academic years. He later continued his training with Pierre Vallet, John Norris, Deborah Birnbaum and Francis Perron.
Since 2023, he has been collaborating regularly with the RomaTre Orchestra, performing as tenor soloist in Puccini’s Messa di Gloria and in several symphonic and sacred programs conducted by Marco Boemi, Massimiliano Caldi and Sieva Borzak. He has also sung as tenor soloist in Mozart’s Requiem with the Accademia Filarmonica Europea.
His operatic engagements include Rodolfo (La Bohème), Faust (Faust), Riccardo (Un Ballo in maschera), Siegmund (Die Walküre), Don José (Carmen), and Marco Antonio in Cleopatra, a contemporary opera by Alessandro Meacci. He frequently appears in gala concerts and performances in Italy and abroad.
He is a laureate of several international competitions, including the Ruggero Leoncavallo International Singing Competition, the Mattia Battistini International Competition and the E. Caruso International Singing Competition.
